About Mrs. Hogan

I was born in Jefferson City, MO on July 27, 1982.  I was raised in California, MO and attended the Moniteau County R-1 School District.  I graduated from California High School in 2001.

After my graduation, I attended college at Central Missouri State University (now known as UCM).  I completed my student teaching assignment at California Elementary in the fourth grade.  I graduated Summa Cum Laude in 2005 with a Bachelor of Science in Education.  I then began teaching at my alma mater as a first grade teacher. I always thought I'd be teaching older kids, but my firsties have stolen my heart.  I truly love first grade.  After a few years of teaching, I was presented the opportunity to be involved in a cohort of teachers to further their education in TESOL through Southeast Missouri State University.  I jumped at the chance and few short years later I graduated  Summa Cum Laude from Southeast Missouri State University with my Masters in TESOL (Teaching English to Speakers of Other Languages).  I am now going on my thirteenth year of teaching at CES.

I am married to my college sweetheart Kelly.  We now have a 10 year old daughter named Lily Marie, a 7 year old daughter named Elly Sue, and a 5 year old daughter named Karly Christine.  In my spare time, I enjoy photography, digital scrap booking, creating teaching materials for my class and Teachers Pay Teachers, reading, walking, and spending time with my family and friends.
